There has been widespread criticism of senate Republicans following their unprecedented letter to Iran undermining ongoing nuclear negotiations with the country.
The letter, sent by 47 senate Republicans led by Tom Cotton of Arkansas, aimed to delegitimize any nuclear deal by saying that any future administration would be able to revoke it. Not only is this message untrue, but the act of sending it is illegal at the very least, and traitorous at worst.
Senator Debbie Stabenow of Michigan said she “never would have sent a letter to Saddam Hussein” during the Iraq War that she opposed, while senator Bill Nelson of Florida spoke on the lack of respect given to the president. “We can disagree about the specifics, but we still have to honor the institution of the presidency,” he said. “And when it becomes matters of war and peace, then we’ve got to unify. And that’s why I’m so saddened that we’ve come to the point at which we appear to be so divided.”
But the strongest words came from vice president Joe Biden, who said that it was unprecedented for senators to contact another country’s government in the way that they did, especially “a foreign adversary.” He called it a “dangerous mistake” to intentionally work against a peaceful resolution, stopping short of accusing the Republicans of attempting to manufacture another war in the Middle East.
“This letter sends a highly misleading signal to friend and foe alike that our Commander-in-Chief cannot deliver on America’s commitments,” Biden continued, saying that the United States would now be to blame if talks were to fail. That wouldn’t help anyone, and would instead make armed conflict much more likely.
Unfortunately for everyone, that appears to be exactly what these senators want.

Netanyahu has good friends among these 47 traitors, as they all intend to benefit from armed conflict with Iran. After all, they’ll be sitting pretty far from any actual fighting, and likely making money from their war-mongering donors. It makes me sick every time I think about it.

Here you’ll see a video of a presentation Netanyahu made before a Congressional committee in 2002 in which he encouraged a US attack upon Iraq. “A nuclear-armed Saddam will place the security of our entire world at risk,” he says at one point.It seems very much as if this man has been advocating war throughout much of his adult life.

These 47 traitors prefer to listen to a foreign politician and send young Americans to a much more disastrous war with Iran.
